Fábio Zacarias, president of the Academic Association of the University of Algarve (AAAUAlg), was elected as the representative of university higher education students on the Advisory Board of the Higher Education Assessment and Accreditation Agency (A3ES), this Saturday, December 3, during the National Meeting of Associative Boards (ENDA) which takes place in Vila do Conde.
In a publication on social networks, Fábio Zacarias says that he will «defend and represent university students in our country, counting on everyone's contributions for a better participation in this national forum».
«AAUAlg is present in the national associative maneuver and will certainly continue to make its contribution to the development of Portuguese higher education», adds the student who was recently re-elected president of AAUAlg.
The Higher Education Assessment and Accreditation Agency (A3ES) is the entity responsible for assessing and accrediting higher education institutions, as well as their study cycles.
The chairman of the Board of Directors of A3ES is curiously another Algarvean: Professor João Guerreiro, former rector of the University of Algarve.
