Portimonense beat SC Covilhã by 2-0 in a game for the League Cup that took place this Sunday, November 27, at the stadium of the Algarve team.
The first goal was scored in the 10th minute by Ricardo Matos. Portimonense went into the break in advantage and ball possession also reflected the ascendancy of the Algarve (56% against 44% of Covilhã). In total, there were 11 shots on goal in the first half (6 by Portimonense and 5 by Serranos).
In the second half, at 77 minutes, the Algarve team scored again. After Luquinha's pass, Anderson Oliveira shot on target and left the opponent's goalkeeper with no chance of defending.
With this result, Portimonense equals Nacional at the top of group E, with 3 points, but the islanders have one less game played.
