New Intermarché store in Albufeira creates 50 more jobs

An investment of 3 million euros

The new Intermarché store in Vale Pedras, Albufeira, which opens this Thursday, November 17, will generate 50 new jobs in the region. 

As part of Intermarché's expansion policy throughout the country, it will have the largest area in the Albufeira region, with a total area of ​​2.200 square meters. and 280 parking spaces indoors and outdoors: an investment of 3 million euros.

«It is with great pride and satisfaction that we open the largest and most recent Intermarché store in Albufeira. In view of its size, we will proceed with the relocation of the Montechoro (Albufeira) store to this new space, integrating all 70 employees in this new point of sale in Vale Pedras. Also, due to the increase in the number of sections, it will also be necessary to strengthen the team in the store, creating another 50 new jobs in the region. By strengthening and valuing our teams, we will be able to provide excellent service as well as make available the best products at affordable prices for all the inhabitants of Albufeira», explains Ana Paula Barbosa, owner of the new Intermarché store and the stores in Santa Eulália, Cerro Grande and Montechoro.

The space will have an area of ​​60% dedicated to the fresh section, including a fishmonger, butcher, delicatessen, take-away, bakery, fruit shop, barbecue and catering and also a parapharmacy, hairdresser, florist, tobacconist, shoemaker/locksmith and a post low-cost fuel station, where AdBlue liquid will be available and charging stations for electric cars.

The inauguration will have a performance by the singer Toy, between 10:00 and 12:00.
