Immortal and Olhanense join Farense in the 3rd round of the Portuguese Cup

Algarve will have the representation of four teams in the 3rd round: Portimonense, Farense, Imortal and Olhanense

Immortal (Albufeira) and Olhanense went ahead in the Portuguese Football Cup, after winning their matches this Sunday, October 2nd. 

Starting with Olhanense, the team led by Jorge Dias Viegas won 1-0 against Grupo Desportivo Monte Trigo, a club that competes in the Elite Division of the Évora Football Association.

Immortal also won by the same result, but on the ground of Vasco da Gama from Ponta Delgada.

All the other Algarve teams that also played in the 2nd round of the Portuguese Cup lost.

São João de Ver thrashed Esperança de Lagos (3-0) and Silves lost, 3-5, against Courense, in a game that went into extra time.

Finally, FC Ferreiras lost 2-1 in the visit to Pêro Pinheiro.

Thus, in the 3rd round of the Portuguese Cup, in which the I Liga teams are already playing, the Algarve will be represented by four teams: Farense (which won against Benfica de Castelo Branco on Saturday), Portimonense, Imortal and Olhanense.
