Thousands of visitors are expected in yet another edition of the traditional Vila Real de Santo António Beach Fair, which returns to the historic center of this city between the 7th and 15th of October, between 10:00 and 24:00.
The fair grounds are distributed along Avenida da República and Praça Marquês de Pombal, «welcoming thousands of visitors, mainly Spaniards, who, on October 12, a public holiday in Spain, head to the Algarve city», according to the VRSA chamber.
In this event, you can find the most varied products, from «utilities, utensils and clothes, on display on Avenida da República, to the multiple food products and taverns, present in Praça Marquês de Pombal».
«Feira da Praia, the name by which it has always been known, originated in the original location where it was held, in front of the sands of Monte GordoIn 1765.
Later, in 1774, when Vila Real de Santo António was founded, it was transferred to the city, taking on the role of social and economic expansion and with the objective of promoting fisheries», the municipality states.
