“The Future of Water” is the theme of a photographic tour of Tavira, associated with the route “From the Earth to the Sea”, promoted by the local Ciência Viva Center, scheduled for October 1, at 9:30 am.
The City Council of Tavira accepted a challenge launched by the company Águas do Algarve, within the scope of the celebrations of the National Water Day, and organized this initiative, which will start from Vale Caranguejo (car park opposite the Gran Plaza Shopping Center).
«The meeting includes a visit to the IPMA facilities, as well as the capture of images, in the Forte do Rato area. The action aims to encourage reflection around water, the issue of drought in Portugal and the future of this resource», describes the Tavira Chamber.
The municipality challenges all photography lovers to participate in this outdoor walk and capture «images that tell a story about the future of water, as well as to compete for prizes offered by Águas do Algarve».
