Samuel Portugal was sold by Portimonense to FC Porto, on the last day of the market, but the Algarve has already hired a replacement: it is the Turkish Berke Özer.

Coming from Fenerbahçe, the under-21 international, who made 19 appearances for the Turkish team last year, has signed a contract valid for four years.

Presented this Friday, September 2nd, at a press conference, Berke Özer assured that he was «happy» with this challenge, promising to give «as much as he can».

Regarding Samuel Portugal, the sale of the former Portimonense keeper was made official yesterday, on the day the market closed. FC Porto spent 1 million euros for 20% of the pass, according to Pinto Costa to the newspaper “O Jogo”.

At Dragão, Samuel, one of the best players in the Algarve last season, will have competition from Portuguese international Diogo Costa.
