A 57-year-old man was arrested this Monday, September 26, in Quarteira, for drug trafficking.
During a patrolling action, the Guard's soldiers became aware of the suspicious behavior of two individuals on the public road, and approached the suspects and carried out a personal security search. After the search, the GNR found that one of them had drugs, which led to his arrest.
Following the police investigations, a house search was carried out at the detainee's residence, which resulted in the seizure of 117 doses of heroin, six mobile phones, four SIM cards, two knives used to cut drugs, a precision scale, 95 euros in cash and several materials used in drug packaging.
The detainee was made a defendant and the facts sent to the Loulé Department of Investigation and Criminal Action.
