There are 22 speakers who, in common, have both the «huge passion» for their work and the fact that they are «great conversationalists». More than enough ingredients for another edition of “Caminhadas com Arte”, on 25th September and 2nd October, in Monchique and Aljezur. From theater to astrophysics, through journalism and architecture, each walk will be a «unique moment».

Journalists Paulo Moura and João Almeida, singer Maria João, actress Sara Barros Leitão or astrophysicist José Manuel Afonso are just some of the speakers on these walks to think about.

Each route will have a theme, related to the profession of each speaker. It will be a conversation between guest and walkers.

«It is the same logic of the other editions: a type of walks as they existed in Ancient Greece, with the masters and their “disciples”, frames Madalena Victorino, one of the programmers of “Lavrar o Mar”, when Sul Informação.

This time, everything starts in Monchique, on the 25th.

The walks all start at 10:00 am and are invited by Ana Pais (Research in Performing Arts), André Barata (Philosophy), Bruno Martins (Theater), Catarina Vaz Pinto (Cultural Policies of Cities), Inês Barahona (Dramaturgy), João Almeida ( Social Communication), João Ministro (Tourism and Territorial Responsibility), José Manuel Afonso (Astrophysics), Paulo Moura (Travel Writing), Pedro Prista (Anthropology) and Raquel Henriques da Silva (Art History).

As is customary at “Lavrar o Mar”, Aljezur will also receive this initiative. There, the tours are scheduled for the 2nd of October, also departing at 10:00 am.

Speakers also promise. In addition to Maria João, a big name in jazz, there will also be the opportunity to hear Sara Barros Leitão talking about theater or Jorge Vilhena about archaeology.

They are also joined by António-Pedro (Multidisciplinary Creation), Inês Thomas Almeida (Classical Music), Joana Craveiro (Documentary Theatre), Luís Graça (Creativity between Art and Science) and Ana Jara + Carlos Gomes (Architecture, Territory and Production Cultural).

Madalena Victorino has no doubts that the group that “Lavrar o Mar” managed to gather promises.

«The people we chose – and who are from so many quarters – are preparing something unique», he guarantees. And since it's only possible to go for a walk, everyone's conversations will be available to listen to on a podcast.

«After the success of the past editions, it didn't make sense to stop. Everyone enjoyed these walks: both the public and the guests», adds Madalena Victorino.

Moreover, the return of “Caminhadas com Arte” also marks the return of the “Lavrar o Mar” program itself.
