“Rostos do Mundo”, the photography exhibition by Tiago Brito, and the presentation of the new book by José Guilherme, “Dourado&Azul – transmutation of life” are the two new proposals from the Lídia Jorge Municipal Library for the month of October.
The photography exhibition will be open from the 6th to the 25th of October, while the book presentation is scheduled for 16:00 pm on the 8th.
According to Tiago Brito, “Faces of the World” is “a journey of exploring the different nationalities and identities of each one in Albufeira. A photographic experience of human emotions, youth and the acceptance of each culture».
Tiago Brito begins his photography journey at the age of 14, when he receives his first camera. At the age of 17 he starts creating art with the aim of capturing the euphoria of youth, the experiences, emotions and the various challenges that young people usually face during adolescence.
On the 8th of October, the book “Dourado&Azul – transmutação da vida” by José Guilherme will be presented.
About the most recent literary work by José Guilherme, says J. Augusto «…this plan of the mystical journey that breaks the barriers of time is achieved with faith and unconditional love, hope in the beyond, through Nirvana and with God the Shepherd, is written in this work that wisely and poetically links the butterflies of the night, Buddha and illusion».
José Francisco Nunes Guilherme was born on December 3, 1960, in Mexilhoeira Grande, Portimão. In addition to the book he is now presenting at the Municipal Library, he has already published several works such as “Páginas Soltas da Vida”; “Stories of People Who Love”; Story for children “A Libelinha no Reino da Chuva”; “Magic Moon – Ode to Feminine Nature” and “Alma Algarvia”.
The Lídia Jorge Municipal Library is open to the public from Tuesday to Friday, from 9:30 am to 19:15 pm, and on Monday, from 12:00 pm to 18:00 pm. On Saturdays it is open from 10:00 am to 16:30 pm.
