The Traditional Bath of 29, usually organized by Monchique, will be celebrated this year in a partnership between the Parishes of Monchique and Portimão, in Praia do Vau, on the 28th of September.
“A Serra e o Mar Juntos” thus fulfills the tradition of this nocturnal celebration scheduled to start at 20:30 pm.
In a note, the Parish Council of Monchique invites anyone who wants to participate in the recreation of the moment to join the party, bringing their lunch to share and period costume.
The night will be lively and will culminate with the traditional midnight bath because, as the people say, «the bath must be given at night because during the day the Devil walks around...».
