Nine arrested in Stop operations in the municipality of Loulé

Men are between 18 and 31 years old

Nine men, aged between 18 and 31, were arrested this Sunday, August 7, in a Stop operation in the municipality of Loulé.

The GNR operation had an impact on the access areas to the municipality's nightlife venues. Of the nine men, eight were arrested for driving under the influence and one for driving without a license.

During the operation, it was recorded 33 fines for driving with a blood alcohol level higher than permitted by law, two for failure to carry out a mandatory periodic inspection, two related to anomalies in lighting and signaling systems and two more for drug use.

In a note sent to the newsrooms, the GNR emphasizes that “it maintains its priority in the fight against road accidents, especially in areas of access to places of nightlife, thus avoiding driving under the influence of alcohol”.
