AMAL promotes new awareness campaign for fire prevention

Campaign is made through radio spots

The Algarve Intermunicipal Community (AMAL) continues to focus on raising awareness of risk behaviors related to fires and promotes a new campaign.

The initiative consists of launching radio spots that share information with the population.

Against the backdrop of professional practices and leisure activities, osa advertisements recall requirements in the use of agricultural machinery and provide guidance to those who will use fire in food preparation.

The announcements were recorded in Portuguese, English and French and will be broadcast on radio stations in the Algarve throughout the month of August.

According to AMAL, the initiative was complemented by awareness-raising actions, which resulted in direct contacts with the population and passed through the municipalities of Monchique, Loulé, Tavira, Castro Marim and Alcoutim.

«These actions are part of the cross-border project CILIFO – Iberian Center for Research and Fight against Forest Fires, whose objective is to establish itself as a permanent center for the development and promotion of training, awareness, research and cooperation in fighting fires» , also refers to the Algarve Intermunicipal Community in a press release.
