Aleksandr Grigorev (Tavira) ends the prologue of the Volta in the top 10

This Friday, August 5th, the 1st stage of the Volta a Portugal will be run on a bicycle that will connect Vila Franca de Xira to Elvas (193,7 kilometers)

Aleksandr Grigorev (Tuna-General/Tavira/AP Maria Nova Hotel) was the best cyclist of the Algarve teams in the prologue of the Volta a Portugal by bicycle, held this Thursday, August 4th, in Lisbon, finishing in 9th place. 

The prologue was won by Portuguese Rafael Reis, from Glassdrive Q8 Anicolor, who also became the first yellow jersey of this edition of the Volta.

The young cyclist completed the 5,4 kilometers of the race in 6:11,53 minutes.

Grigorev finished in 9th, with 14 seconds more than Rafael Reis.

In the individual general, Reis is also the leader and Aleksandr Grigorev is in 9th place.

The other Algarve team in competition – Aviludo-Louletano – did not place any cyclist in the top 10.

This Friday, August 5th, the 1st stage of the Volta a Portugal will be run on a bicycle that will link Vila Franca de Xira to Elvas (193,7 kilometers), with an arrival at the sprint.
