Guia Chicken Festival, from the 4th to the 7th of August, the Olhos de Água Sardine Festival, from the 11th to the 13th, or the White Night of Paderne, on the 13th, are some of the festivities that will liven up Albufeira this month.
The Festa do Frango da Guia takes place over four days, always starting at 19 pm, at the parish's Polidesportivo. The 00th edition will feature shows by Saúl Ricardo and his band, followed by the Duo Emanuel Martins and Tânia. On the following day, the 14th, entertainment will be provided by César Matoso, Débora Machado and Válter Cabrita, with the 5st Frango walk still on this day.
On the 6th, it will be the turn of the musicians Serafim, Jerónimo and Duo Som Time and to close the program, on the 7th, the party invites everyone to dance to the sound of the Dieb Band and Marco Filipe.
Guia also hosts the Feast of Our Lady of Guia and St. Louis in August, on the 27th and 28th. On both days there will be an Evening Mass in the Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Guia and a Candlelight Procession to the Mother Church at 20 pm . Alongside the religious festivities, the Parish Council organized moments of music, traditional delicacies and entertainment. On the 00th, the show will be in charge of Duo 27 and the singer Micaela, while on the 64th, after the celebration of the Eucharist, there will be a show by Roberto Bernardino and Banda IRIS at the Polidesportivo, which will open at 28 pm.
In the parish of Olhos de Água, during the 11th, 12th and 13th, the Sardine Festival is celebrated, in what will be its 23rd edition. On these days, the party takes place in the square next to Olhos de Água beach from 20 pm, with shows and music for dancing with the groups
locations.
On the 11th there will be a performance by the singer Tomás Faísca, on the 12th there will be the group Dream Dancing and the group Gerações and to close, on the 13th, Duo Irmãos LA and Rancho Folclórica da Freguesia will perform.
The Parish of Paderne also has a summer programme, starting on the 6th of August, with celebrations in honor of Nossa Senhora da Esperança, patroness of the Parish. As well as the religious celebrations, at 19 pm, in the Sports Pavilion Car Park, there is a party with traditional food, cakes, fair and music by Marco António.
Closing the festivities in the parish of Paderne, there is the White Night on the 13th, starting at 19 pm.
