This year, Castro Marim will once again have “Summer with Life” with free activities for children, youth and senior residents, between 7 July and 9 September.
In a direct partnership with the «Active Holidays» Program of the Municipality of Castro Marim, children and young people will be able to make visits to the Zoomarine Theme Park or play activities in Baixo Guadiana that include socialization, entertainment and knowledge of the territory.
For seniors, a sociocultural program has been prepared that includes Open Air Cinema and Teatro de Revista, which will roam the four parishes of the municipality, favoring the most isolated locations: Furnazinhas, Corte Pequena, Junqueira, Altura, Castro Marim, Azinhal and Mount Francisco.
Transport is provided by the Parish Councils in collaboration with the Municipality of Castro Marim.
These are activities with the seal of the CLDS 4G project «Castro Marim (COM)Vida», which aims to «contribute to minimizing the social exclusion of groups with greater social fragility, namely children, young people and their families, the elderly and people with disabilities and/or inability".
The actions carried out are part of the following activities: 5 (IN) Youth Activity, 6 "Active Seniors", 7 "Informed and Safe Seniors", of the CLDS 4G project "Castro Marim (COM)Vida", promoted by the Municipality of Castro Marim and coordinated by the Odiana association.
The project is co-financed by CRESC Algarve 2020, Portugal 2020 and the European Union, through the European Social Fund.
