A 57-year-old man was arrested yesterday for possession of an illegal weapon and a prohibited weapon, following a complaint of domestic violence, in Albufeira.
Alerted to a case of domestic violence, the GNR found “that the suspect made threats using a firearm against the victim, his 39-year-old companion”.
“During the police investigations, it was possible to verify that the suspect had a shotgun, without having the respective documentation, an airsoft pistol and a defense aerosol (pepper spray)”, according to the Guard.
"The material was seized and the suspect detained for illegal possession of a weapon and a prohibited weapon," he added.
