The unions affiliated to UGT/Algarve approved, last Wednesday, March 30, a motion of solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
The unions expressed, in particular, their solidarity with "women, children and the elderly affected by the humanitarian drama caused by the Russian invasion of that free, independent and sovereign country in clear violation of international law, with devastating consequences for the territory and for the entire Ukrainian community".
UGT affiliates also repudiate the war and call for dialogue so that «it is finally possible to reach an agreement and the end of the war».
