The Gymnasium Club Faro on the 10th of April, starting at 17:00, will host another piano recital “Belmarço”, with Alexandre Dahmen as a guest.
During this year, the Gimnásio is carrying out a cycle entitled Belmarço composed of several piano recitals.
This idea arose after the discovery of a text written by Professor José Vilhena Mesquita, where he gave an account of the piano recitals by Mrs Adelaide do Rosário Belmarço held in the 40's and 50's at the Ginásio Clube de Faro, on Sunday afternoons and open to the population of the city.
In this concert, Alexandre Dahmen will present, solo, compositions of his authorship that are usually exchanged in trio.
Among many others, the influences present in his works include composers from the jazz field such as Keith Jarrett, Brad Mehldau and Tigran Hamasyan and from the classical music field such as Erik Satie and Debussy.
