The Corta Mato of Barão de S. João, which will take place in Sunday, March 6th, in the Mata Nacional of this parish in Lacobrigens, will kick offthe XX Circuit of Lagos in Athletics, which included Here are the scoring competitions, to be held in all the parishes of the municipality, and the extra closing competition “Corrida da Baía de Lagos”.
The other tests take place in March, April, May and June. Registration for these races is taking place in the competitions section of the FPA – Portuguese Athletics Federation portal, available here.
In this circuit, federated and non-federated athletes of all nationalities and both sexes can participate, divided into different levels, from minis (born in 2017) to veterans over 55 years of age.
The circuit jury will be made up of technicians from the local authority's Youth and Sports Service, together with judges from the Algarve Athletics Association. The Circuit Regulations, as well as the Contingency Plan created for this purpose, should be consulted on the municipality's website.
All the events of the 20th circuit of the municipality of Lagos in Athletics of the 2021/22 season have the support of the Municipality of Lagos, the Algarve Athletics Association, the Parish Councils and the sports clubs of the municipality with the athletics aspect: Lagos Olympic Club, Esperança de Lagos Football Club and Luzense Recreational, Cultural and Sports Club.
