Five choir groups, including one from Bulgaria, will be the protagonists of the 22nd Choral Week in Lagoa, which will take place on the 15th, 18th, 21st and 22nd of May, in different areas of the county.
In 2022, the event organized by the Ideias do Levante association and the Lagoa Chamber includes the participation of the Slavey Quartet (Bulgaria), the Other Voices Female Choir (Algarve), the Jubilate Deo Choir (Tavira), the Philharmonic Society Choir Group Silvense and Coral Ideias do Levante (Lagoa).
The 2022 edition will again include the “Lagoa a Cantar” project «with the aim of providing various workshops (for various levels), masterclasses, awareness sessions and lectures», according to the organizers.
According to José Carlos Bago d'Uva, the mentor of the initial project, the Semana Coral de Lagoa is «a meeting open to the sharing of musical experiences and unforgettable moments of conviviality, it is the annual occasion in which the municipality of Lagoa sounds “the 4 voices” the (en)/singing of vocal polyphony».
All concerts are free of charge, but limited to the existing capacity, so it is necessary to reserve a place through this link.
