60-year-old woman who felt unwell in Praia da Rocha, taken "in a stable state" to hospital

Alert was given at 16:00 pm

A 60-year-old woman who felt unwell on the beach at Praia da Rocha, in Portimão, today, 1 January, was helped by the Maritime Police and assisted by elements from INEm and the Portuguese Red Cross, who took her to the hospital in «steady state».

The alert was given at 16 pm, through the Lisbon Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC Lisbon), and elements of these three entities were sent to the site.

“The victim was assisted on the spot by elements of INEM and the Red Cross. The elements of the Maritime Police carried out the transport of the woman off the sand, and she was later transported by INEM to a hospital unit, in a stable state”, describes the National Maritime Authority.

The local command of the Maritime Police of Portimão took care of the incident.
