The municipality of Silves has already approved its Budget and the Great Plan Options (GOP) for the year 2022, which "will reach a global amount of 58,2 million euros", announced the municipality.
The Budget and the Major Plan Options (GOP) «were approved at a Chamber meeting with the votes in favor of the CDU council (4) and the abstention of the PSD (2) and PS (1) councilors».
The budget proposal will still be submitted for consideration and voting by the Municipal Assembly, during this month of December.
The Municipality of Silves emphasizes that “the budget for 2022 will have current revenues forecast to total 49,5 million euros and expenditures 34,9 million euros, generating savings of 14,6 million, which will allow the municipality to strengthen its investment capacity'.
The programmed investment will exceed 22 million euros and will include projects and works, spread over the set of parishes, which «are fundamental for the integrated development of the municipality of Silves».
"The fight against the consequences of climate change and water efficiency mobilize important resources of the municipality", explains the Chamber.
«Transfers to Fire Brigades, Parish Councils and Unions, Schools, Associations, Collectivities and Institutions exceed three million euros, continuing the upward trajectory of recent years».
The budget of the Municipality of Silves «accommodates several measures to promote the local economy and social support, as well as citizen- and taxpayer-friendly policies, translated into the minimum rate of the Municipal Property Tax (IMI) and the adoption of the familiar IMI with reduction of rates for households with one, two and three descendants», he concludes.
