The first indoor electric karting track in Portugal is being born in Albufeira Marina and will be inaugurated on November 19, at 15 pm, being this a project by the company Hot Shot Bowling Centre.

This Kartodromo intends to «present a range of services completely different from the other competitors, in a privileged location», the company begins by saying.

The Albufeira Karting Marina requalification project resulted in "a technological and environmental innovation" that encompasses "a wide spectrum of objectives, both in terms of increasing environmental sustainability and in terms of increased revenue generated by the expected growth in the number of sales due to originality of the concept and its unique characteristics'.

This space "will foster their demand for international and national tourists, contributing to the economy of the municipality of Albufeira, and consequently to the Algarve region, which has suffered a sharp drop in revenue from this sector in the last two years", he explains.

The company was created in 2015 by two partners, Geoffrey Meadows and Trudy Meadows, and already has a wide range of entertainment products and services that include the “traditional” Karting track.

Regarding the specific advantages obtained with this requalification of karts, the company highlights "their environmental and financial sustainability", namely in terms of "reduction of electrical and operating costs, direct savings in service costs, reduction of environmental impact, noise pollution becomes nil and odor elimination in fossil fuel'.

The company will thus be able to «provide a higher quality service to customers, at the same time contributing to a greater awareness of the population about non-polluting motor sports and the need for the rational use of energy resources», concludes the Hot Shot Bowling Centre.
