Judoka Jorge Fonseca won today the first bronze medal for Portugal at the Tokyo Olympic Games, when he ranked third in the -100 kg category.

The athlete managed to score a Waza-ari in the fight for the bronze medal and won 1-0.

In the semi-finals, Jorge Fonseca had been defeated by Guham Cho, in a match in which he had hand cramps from the start, which ended up conditioning his performance.
