Bola da Nivea is back in the Algarve, but now it's an ecoball

At the base of the ecoballs, there is an ecopoint made with mixed recycled plastics

This summer, it's the Algarve's turn to receive the EcoBola Nivea, inspired by the iconic Bola Nivea. Marina de Lagos joins Marina de Oeiras and Praia das Rocas, in Castanheira de Pera. Produced with recycled and recyclable materials, the sustainable EcoBola Nivea promises to become the meeting point for younger generations.

Since 25th May, EcoBola Nivea has been the meeting point for families and friends in Marina de Lagos and Oeiras and Praia das Rocas, in Castanheira de Pera, «conserving a tradition that dates back to the 80s and that we want to maintain» .

EcoBolas are the result of a partnership between the Nivea brand and Electrão – Waste Management Association. They are between 3,5 to 2,5 meters high and 2 to 1,5 meters in diameter and are produced in 100% recyclable canvas.

The bases of the EcoBolas Nivea are equipped with a recycling bin made of recycled mixed plastics. For its production, around 500 kilos of recycled plastic were used, the equivalent of 25 plastic bottles of 50 cl.

Inserted in the sustainability policy of the Nivea brand, this initiative aims to raise awareness of the importance of reducing, separating and recycling packaging waste, alerting to the positive impact that this daily gesture has on the environment.
