Vítor Pereira will take office this Wednesday, March 3, at 18 pm, as the new president of the Academic Association of the University of Algarve (AAUAlg).
The student, a student of Computer Engineering, succeeds in the position of Raquel Jacob who was the president of AAUAlg last year.
Elections took place last Friday, February 26, with online voting.
Unsurprisingly, Vítor Pereira was elected president, as his list was the only candidate for the General Directorate.
In total, the U List, headed by Vítor Pereira and which had the motto “To Unite and Work, Win and Thrive”, received 239 votes. There were also 27 blank votes.
For the Board of the Magna Assembly, also with only one list to suffrage, she was elected president Mourana Monteiro, from list M, who will guide the deliberative body of AAUAlg.
The fiscal council, also with only one list, will have as new elements the students from list F, headed by Tiago Feijão.
“In the case of the Pedagogical Nucleus, only two lists were submitted for suffrage, one for the core of the Faculty of Economics and the other for the School of Education, with the rest remaining to be completed,” says UAlg.
