UAlg researchers organize Junior Research Symposium in Psychology in an online format

Registration is free and the initiative is open to the general public, with the expected participation of 100 to 120 people

The XNUMXst Junior Research Symposium in Psychology has a new date set, after being canceled last year due to the pandemic. This time, in an online format, the event takes place on the 6th of May.

This initiative, organized by five young researchers from the Cognitive Neurosciences Group and the Psychology Research Center of the University of Algarve (UAlg), aims to «promote the sharing of research practices in psychology developed at the University of Algarve».

The Symposium is aimed at students, professionals and researchers in the field of Psychology and, in this first edition, the theme is: “The Importance of Research in Psychology”.

Two guest speakers will be present at the initiative, both professionals from the Department of Psychology and Educational Sciences of Universities with Algarve «with vast experience and recognition», says the organization.

In addition, work presentation sessions will take place, in three formats: research communication session, research project communication session and poster session.

Registration is free and the initiative is open to the general public, with the expected participation of 100 to 120 people.

«We want the SIJPSI to be an opportunity for the unified construction of knowledge in the field of Psychology» says the Organizing Committee, composed of Catarina Cova Fernandes, Catarina Paulino, Inês Salomé Morais, Laura Inês Ferreira and Marina Ponte.
