Young people from the University of Algarve create a Psychology Research Symposium

The 22st Junior Research Symposium in Psychology, organized by five young researchers from the Cognitive Neurosciences Group of the University of Algarve (UAlg), takes place on April XNUMX, at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences (FCHS), on the Campus de Gambelas , in Faro. 

The objective of this initiative is to «promote the sharing of research practices in psychology developed at the University of Algarve», with the support of the Department of Psychology and Educational Sciences (DPCE) for this purpose.

The Symposium is aimed at students, professionals and researchers in the field of Psychology and its first edition has as its theme: “The Importance of Research in Psychology”.

Although the program has yet to close, two guest speakers will be present at this Symposium: DPCE professionals "with vast experience and recognition", says the organization.

In addition, work presentation sessions will take place, with three potential formats: research communication session, research project communication session and poster session.

Registration is free and open to the general public, with the expected participation of 80 to 100 people.

«​The project communication session in this Symposium, being a novelty in the scientific community, intends to give space, above all, to new researchers who, although still in an initial process, are interested in starting their research career and making known their projects and their themes of interest in research in Psychology», explains the organization.

The Organizing Committee is composed of Catarina Fernandes, Catarina Paulino, Inês Salomé Morais, Laura Inês Ferreira and Marina Ponte.
