Infraquinta installs central with 100 solar panels

By the end of the year, Infraquinta guarantees that it will install two more photovoltaic solar plants

The municipal company Infraquinta installed a new photovoltaic plant, with 100 solar panels.

“These panels will allow Infraquinta to produce and consume its own energy, and consequently reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions,” says the municipal company.

“The installed plant will have an autonomy of around 40% from the electricity grid, which will avoid the emission of approximately 30 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere”, he adds.

This measure is part of "the municipal company's policy that seeks to minimize the carbon footprint of its activity and, at the same time, incorporate renewable energy into the electrical system, increase energy efficiency, reduce costs and make assets profitable by assigning new functions."

By the end of the year, Infraquinta guarantees that it will install two more photovoltaic solar plants, totaling 5 plants, which will locally produce their own electricity.

All the plants will produce 160 MWh annually, which guarantees about 40% of the company's electric energy needs and contributes to an annual saving equivalent to 75 tons of CO2, or the corresponding to the removal of 40 light vehicles from the road. 15 thousand kilometers annually.
