The President took a night bath on arrival and a bath again this Sunday morning, proving the quality of the sea in Quarteira

The President of the Republic, who this Sunday is in the Algarve to visit the Home for the Elderly of Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Boliqueime and after having a working dinner with the Algarve's mayors, in Querença, he arrived in the region last night, having stayed at the Dom José Beach Hotel, in Quarteira.

Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, shortly after arriving, went for a night dip in the warm waters of the beach, located right there in front of this one of the oldest – and most awarded – hotels in the Algarve.

Today, the President went back to the beach, to swim and dive, having been greeted by many Portuguese and some Spaniards who were surprised to see the Head of State there on the beach.

 

 

For lunch, President Marcelo ate a beautiful fish from Quarteira, on the terrace of the Dom José Beach Hotel, facing the sea. He invited to his table the hotelier João Soares, who is director and one of the owners of the hotel unit, as well as a delegate in the Algarve of the Hotel Association of Portugal.

In between, and before leaving for Boliqueime, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa still had time for a Selfie with a young guest, as well as for a group photo with the director and the staff of the Dom José Beach Hotel.
