The Municipality of São Brás de Alportel has already started the contract to expand the basic sanitation network to the Barrabés site.

This is a «work that takes another important step in the execution of the Municipal Plan for the Extension of Sanitation to the entire municipality, allowing this urban agglomeration to integrate the sanitation network», says the City Council of São Brás.

"This is an investment of around 37.000 euros, plus VAT at the legal rate in force, which represents a very important intervention for the promotion of quality of life, guaranteeing environmental quality", he adds.

In a phased manner, the expansion plan advances, with the objective of bringing quality of life to the entire municipality.

In this context, the Municipality has now completed the project for the 1st phase of the expansion of the Mesquita Sewerage Network, connecting the Municipal Road (EM) 514 and the EN 270, a project that comes «following the execution of the 1st and the 2nd phase of the Peral Sewage Network and which is awaiting the application procedure for funding in order to proceed».

Moreover, the municipality says, in a press release, that it has already invested more than half a million euros, in the last 5 years, in the expansion of the municipality's sanitation network.
