Covid-19: cases attributed to Vila do Bispo are residents of Lagos

Adelino Soares: "publishing alleged cases, in addition to being unfair for the targeted people, contributes to the insecurity of residents and all those who visit us"

The cases that the Directorate-General of Health assigns today, in its daily bulletin, Vila do Bispo are of people who "are not residing in the county", although they have tax residence there, said the president of the Vilabispense Chamber today, in a statement published on the municipality's Facebook page.

Adelino Soares adds that "there are more citizens who, as indicated by the health authority, are being tested and who, regardless of the result, will be quarantined, as established by the DGS."

"All confirmed cases, as well as people under surveillance, are associated, directly or indirectly, to Odiáxere's party», adds the statement.

"To avoid misinformation and consequent social alarmism, the population is informed that we will only communicate the cases confirmed by the competent authorities", says the mayor Adelino Soares, who stresses that, "to publish alleged cases, in addition to being unfair to the targeted people, contributes to the insecurity of residents and all those who visit us».

Finally, the statement from the Municipality of Vila do Bispo appeals "to people who, directly or indirectly, have contacted parties involved in the party, to stay in their homes and contact the competent authorities."

«We are following/collaborating with the regional health services, to combat this pandemic focus, for which we have, once again, the sense of responsibility of everyone, complying with the norms established by the DGS», he concludes.
