Covid-19: Algarve has 229 cases, Alentejo 84 and there are 11730 across the country

Data from the DGS epidemiological bulletin this Monday, April 6

The Algarve has 229 cases of Covid-19, while the Alentejo registers 84. Across the country, the number of infected is 11.730 and 311 deaths, according to today's data from the epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS ), which has just been releaseddo.

Compared to yesterday's data from the DGS, the Algarve registers 28 more cases, while the Alentejo has two more. Nationally, the number rose from 11.278 to 11.730 (plus 452).

As for the total number of deaths, across the country, it reached 311, 16 more than yesterday. The North is the region with the highest number of deaths (168), followed by the Center (76), Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (60) and Algarve (7).

 

 

The regional distribution of the 11.730 cases is as follows: North (6706), Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (3070), Center (1521), Algarve (229), Alentejo (84), Azores (68) and Madeira (52).

According to the DGS, there are 1099 hospitalized, 270 of which are in intensive care, 3 more than yesterday.

At this moment, 4500 people are awaiting laboratory results, while another 23.470 are in surveillance contact with the health authorities.

As of January 1, there have been 91794 suspected cases, but 75.564 of those have not been confirmed.

The bulletin's data report a large increase in yesterday's number of recovered people from 75 to 140.
