BTL postponed to May due to coronavirus

BTL will be from the 27th to the 31st of May

The Bolsa de Turismo de Lisboa (BTL), one of the biggest events in the sector in Portugal, was postponed to May due to the coronavirus, the organizing entity AIP Foundation has just announced. 

This decision follows the announcement, done this Wednesday, March 4th, by the Regional Tourism Entities, in not participating in the event.

The AIP Foundation, in articulation with the Government (Ministry of Economy) and the most relevant Associations in the Tourism Sector, concluded “that, given this new framework, the conditions to ensure the holding of BTL 2020 on the dates are no longer met. originally planned: 10 to 14 March”, reads a newly released statement.

"Thus, with the objective of responding to the desires and needs of promotion of the tourism sector, the AIP Foundation decided to postpone BTL 2020 to the next 27th to 31st of May".

The organization says it is "aware of the impact of this decision".
