Young people were dragged by wave on Peneco's footbridge

The Voluntary Fire Department of Albufeira, INEM and the Maritime Police participated in the relief operations.

Three young Portuguese were dragged by a wave, this Sunday, February 23, on the Peneco footbridge, in Albufeira. 

The young people, aged 15 and 16, had to be rescued by the Maritime Police.

“One of the young people suffered bruises on the lower and upper limbs, had pain in the dorsal lumbar area and fractured his right lower limb,” says the National Maritime Authority.

The other two suffered bruises. After the rescue, the young people were transported to the Hospital de Faro.

The Voluntary Fire Service of Albufeira, INEM and the Maritime Police participated in the relief operations.
