The Câmara de Lagoa offered a painting work on canvas to the Portimão team of the Directorate-General for Reinsertion and Prison Services (DGRSP) of Portimão, a symbolic act that served to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
The municipality delivered this work of art “to those who work daily with the consequences of domestic violence, often translated into the most surprising ways”, in what was “a renewed attitude of inter-institutional cooperation on the part of the municipality of Lagoa”.
The gift was delivered by Anabela Simão, vice-president of the Chamber of Lagoa, who expressed “her desire to continue and deepen good practices in this area of social intervention”.
The painting, a work on canvas using different techniques such as painting in acrylic, oil, ceramics, tile and collage, is by the teachers and students of the painting and ceramics workshops at the Mestre Fernando Rodrigues Municipal School of Arts.
