Ultramarathon runner Rui Pinho tells in the first person his return to ALUT – Algarviana Ultra Trail. A story with pain, blisters, unlikely friendships and a lot of love for running.
Saying what makes us try to run 300 kilometers through mountains, hills and ravines, in a permanent fight against adversity and against time – which is limited between all stages -, is a difficult exercise to accomplish. Explaining what makes us repeat such an experience goes from being difficult to possible, when, immediately after finishing it, we miss the comfort that all that "staff" gives us, and we unload all the emotion in a more or less hidden cry. that we were accumulating along an arduous path that took us there, to the much-desired Ponta de Sagres.
