Medieval Paderne will have another day

Village travels back in time

This year's edition of Paderne Medieval will have another day, taking place from December 28th to January 1st, in that village in the municipality of Albufeira.

Until the 20th of this month of November, registration for this year's edition will take place, which will once again make Paderne travel through time-

Over the course of five days, the village of Paderne will go back in time and all of it will relive the XNUMXth century, with lots of commerce, religion, shows, battles and even a historical procession that portrays the ceremony of the delivery by D. Dinis of the Donation Letter of the Castle of Paderne to the Order of Avis, on the first day of New Year.

Teas, delicacies, wines and other delicacies are also one of the main attractions of this event, which this year will take place between 12:00 and 21:00 every day, except on December 31, which closes at 19:00.

For this purpose, the organization has already started preparations and those who intend to participate with their products can do so by emailing [email protected].

Public and private entities from the parish of Paderne (primarily) and from the rest of the municipality can participate as exhibitors. The organization also foresees the possibility of accepting entries from exhibitors from outside the municipality, in case all available spaces are not occupied.

The registration fee varies according to the different types of stalls, stalls and spaces used: stall for exhibiting crafts (40 euros), stall owned by the exhibitors, with maximum dimensions of 3 meters by 3 meters, subject to approval by the organization (45 euros), tavern provided by the organization (90 euros) and space in Mouraria (3.5 euros daily, per square meter).

Participation in the event requires exhibitors to be dressed at the time, and this outfit must be provided by themselves.

The “Paderne Medieval” is an initiative carried out by the Municipality of Albufeira, in partnership with the Parish Council of Paderne and the town's Casa do Povo.
