Luís Encarnação, mayor of Lagoa, the rest of the executive and also the municipality's technicians, are making a tour of the council «to identify the problems, needs and expectations of residents and local representatives in each point of the territory».
During four days, scheduled between the months of October and November 2019, the visit to the parishes of the municipality's urban centers «intends to assess “in loco” identified deficiencies, advanced diagnoses, and areas for improvement», explains the Lagoa Council.
Last Wednesday, the 23rd and Friday, the 25th, the open presidency focused on the parishes of Ferragudo and Porches, respectively.
According to the municipality, "during the first of these days, eighteen situations were identified that merited the attention of the municipal executive, and in the second, forty-one points were collected for treatment and response."
In both cases, says the Câmara de Lagoa, «issues related to the requalification of public space predominated».
On two Wednesdays in November, the executives should complete the open presidency with visits to the parishes of Estômbar and Parchal, on November 13th, and to Lagoa and Carvoeiro, on November 27th.
«At the end of these four days of direct contact with problems that have already been identified and others to be identified, the mayor of Lagoa should be in possession of a detailed radiograph of the state of the municipality he administers», concludes the Chamber of Lagoa.
