São Brás awarded the construction of the new bus terminal

Work will take a year to be completed and will start as soon as there is a green light from the Court of Auditors

The Chamber of São Brás de Alportel awarded yesterday, thursday, the construction of the new bus terminal in the village. The intervention will start as soon as you obtain a visa from the Court of Auditors and will take a year to complete.

The São Brasense municipality took advantage of the European Mobility Week to launch a work «of extreme importance in the area of ​​municipal mobility and respective regional connections», which will be built next to the Circular Norte, near the Centenário roundabout.

 

 

«The contract includes the construction of a bus station with three departure lanes, total parking for seven buses and parking for 27 light vehicles, as well as a support building with a waiting room, ticket office and toilets and circulation lanes , exterior fittings and public lighting», according to the City Council of São Brás.

The work will be carried out by the consortium formed by the companies José de Sousa Barra & Filhos and RolearOn-Soluções de Engenharia and will cost around 494 thousand euros.

The project will be co-financed by community funds under the PAMUS program – Plan for Action and Sustainable Urban Mobility.
