Portimão will once again have “Sports Holidays”, to occupy the county's children and young people's free time between the 24th of June and the 9th of August.
Those interested in participating can now apply online, on the Portimão City Council website, or at the Portimão Gimnodesportivo Pavilion (phone 282 470 813) and at the Alvor Sports Complex (282 248 570) and Mexilhoeira Grande (282 248 571), from 9:00 am to 19:00 pm.
In all, there will be three shifts, the first from June 24th to July 5th, the second from July 8th to July 19th and the last from July 22nd to August 9th. In all of them, activities take place from 9:00 am to 18:00 pm, with a lunch break between 12:00 pm and 14:30 pm.
The program proposed by the Câmara de Portimão includes, "in addition to group sports, tennis, gymnastics, dance, surf, canoeing, windsurfing, body-boarding and swimming".
«They will also have the opportunity to play golf and participate in activities such as boat trips or trips to a water amusement park and movie sessions, among others, including personal accident insurance, lunch and t-shirt offers, backpack and cap”, according to the Portimão Council.
At the end, there will be a party, scheduled for 21 pm on August 00th, at Portimão Arena, which will bring together children and young people, but also their families.
Participants can enroll simultaneously in the three shifts. «The registration fees and reductions vary depending on the social levels that the participants can take advantage of, and it is mandatory to present a Citizen's Card and proof of Family Allowance for the current year.
