Mito Algarvio – Association of Accordion Players of the Algarve promotes, at the Regional Conservatory of Vila Real de Santo António, on the 20th of June, Thursdays, at 21 pm, the selection tests for Portuguese candidates to participate in the World Accordion Cup.
The 72nd World Accordion Cup will take place from August 12th to 17th, in Shenzhen (China), organized by the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA), Official Member International Music Council of UNESCO (IMC) and (NGO), together with the Accordion Association of Chinese Musicians.
The World Cup is one of the most important accordion competitions in the world, bringing together hundreds of competitors of the most varied nationalities. Portugal has already achieved honorable classifications there.
The selection tests aim to comply with the stipulated in the CIA regulation, admitting the most suitable competitors to represent Portugal.
