Aljezur Municipal Market, Municipal Museum, Carrapateira Market, Rogil Tourist Office and Largo 1º de Maio, in Odeceixe, already have access points, which allow free access to the internet, through wifi technology.
"Recognizing the role that technologies play in the day-to-day of today's society, in which access to the internet is a permanent need for both recreational and professional purposes", the City Council of Aljezur submitted an application to the Valorizar program ( Support Program for the Enhancement and Qualification of the Destination) – Support line for the provision of wifi networks, promoted by the Instituto de Turismo de Portugal, for the creation of hotspots Wi-Fi for free internet access in all parishes in the county.
The application was approved and had a 90% contribution on an investment of around 39 thousand euros.
Internet users who use the free internet access points, via their mobile device, are invited to install an application that “will enable the knowledge and exploration of the tourist heritage of the municipality of Aljezur and receive notifications about the latest news or events promoted'.
