“Let's go to the opera | A Música e a Palavra” is the name of the inaugural concert of the Promenade cycle to be held this Sunday, February 10, at 12:00 pm, at Teatro das Figuras, in Faro.
In this inaugural show of this year's edition of the Promenade concerts, «the Orquestra Clássica do Sul proposes a journey through the world of opera, where the word is queen», says Teatro das Figuras.
Thus, «an itinerary will be defined where the relationship between text and music will be addressed, as well as the bridge between the operas' librettos and their scripts. All stories and plots will be told with a lot of imagination».
In this 2019 cycle of Promenade concerts there are a number of new features. The narration will be done by Rui Baeta and the stories will be illustrated, in real time, by the artist Artur Filipe.
In this Sunday's concert, the families will be hosted at the foyer from Teatro das Figuras, two caricaturists and there will be a musical performance by Ricardo Coelho accompanied by Milai (Adelaide Fonseca).
Tickets for this concert cost 10 euros, with a 25% discount for over 65s. People under the age of 30 pay only 5 euros for the ticket.
