The through crowdfunding “Riding a Meteor Meets Meteora” has already ended, raising 2548 euros, a sum that will cover the costs of air tickets for the band members and the director, to Greece, where the Algarve band wants to record a video.
A campaign through crowdfunding was carried out by a graduate of Etic_Algarve, together with the team from Riding a Meteor.
The campaign sought to raise funds for a pioneering initiative, which will include a concert by Riding a Meteor in an enigmatic location in Greece: Meteora. The creation of this unprecedented concert recorded and broadcast in streaming it will later be used in a documentary about the band's history.
After two months of the campaign, it reached thousands of visits, having been viewed in over 20 different countries. In this set, Portugal, the United States of America, Turkey, Spain, Holland, Greece and the United Kingdom stand out.
With the contributions of 54 funders, it reached 56% of its goal, raising 2548 euros. The next step is to continue raising funds to get the rest of the team to Meteora.
With the end of this first phase of the initiative ”Riding a Meteor Meets Meteora”, the next step in this trip to Greece follows: a concert in a Cinema NOS movie theater at Forum Algarve.
So, on February 17th, at 11:00 am, Riding a Meteor will present itself, once again, in an unlikely scenario.
This is an initiative that has the support of the City Council of Faro, Forum Algarve and Cinemas Nos.
