The race was won by Armindo Araújo, who thus secured the title of National Rally Champion in 2018, after the Algarve's Ricardo Teodósio was left out of the race for having broken the engine of his Skoda Fabia R5.

The Algarve rider, who finished the first day of the race ahead, started today in the best way and led the initial passage through Chilrão. It was in the third section, Monchique 1, and at a time when he was still ahead, despite not having set the best time on the first passage in the section Nave Redonda 1, that Teodósio broke his engine and was out of the race.

Also highlighted was the Madeiran duo Alexandre Camacho/Rui Rodrigues, who finished the race in 2nd place, 12,8 seconds behind the winner, and won the FIA European Rally Trophy.
