Continuing, in the 2018-2021 triennium, the Local Support Center for the Integration of Migrants (CLAIM) of Odemira, which brings together City Council and companies, is the objective of a protocol signed this Tuesday, 10 July.
The ceremony, held at the José Saramago Library, was attended by Romualda Fernandes, member of the Board of Directors of the High Commission for Migration, and Deolinda Seno Luís, councilor of the Odemira City Council, responsible for the social area.
The consortium brings together the Municipality of Odemira, TAIPA – Cooperative for the Integrated Development of the Municipality of Odemira (the promoting and executing entity), the companies Haygrove Portugal, Unipessoal Lda, Lusomorango – Small Fruit Producers Organization, SA, Multitempo – Empresa of Temporary Work LDA, Sudoberry SA, Vitacress, SA and Hall Hunter Portugal, Unipessoal, LDA and the Parish Councils of Longueira/Almograve, S. Teotónio and Vila Nova de Milfontes.
CLAIM, which brings together the best of both worlds (public and private), is a decentralized reception, information and support office for immigrants who flock to the municipality of Odemira, with a view to their reception and integration.
It is a measure that stems from the Municipal Plan for the Integration of Migrants “Odemira Integra+”
The promotion of CLAIM is financed in the global amount of around 126 thousand euros, an amount shared in 35,64% by the Municipality of Odemira, 20% by the company Lusomorango and the remaining 44,36%, equally by the companies Haygrove Portugal, Multitempo , Sudoberry, Vitacress and Hall Hunter Portugal.
