Tavira's participation in the Lisbon Tourism Exchange (BTL), at the Algarve stand, which runs from February 28th to March 4th at FIL, aims to promote above all the municipality «as a representative community of Portugal in the classification of the Mediterranean Diet as Cultural Heritage UNESCO Immaterial of Humanity».
«Disseminating the cultural and gastronomic program, as well as the richness of the built and natural heritage» is another of the objectives defined by the municipality to attract new markets.
On March 1st, at 18:15 pm, there will be a presentation of the events calendar scheduled for 2018, followed by a demonstration and tasting of ice cream made from local products.
The initiative is the responsibility of Gelataria Delizia, which has already won several awards, namely, in 2011, with its dry ice cream, which was elected the “Best Gelato in the Mediterranean”, at the Serbeth Festival, in Cefalu (Italy).
