«From Pre-History to Full Moon» is the title of the night show that Grupo Coral Adágio will give on Saturday, May 27, at 21 pm, at the Megalithic Monuments of Alcalar, in the interior of the municipality of Portimão.

In that ancestral place, next to the tombs dating back five millennia and under the moonlight, there will be music by the Coral Adágio, directed by conductor António Alves.

The program begins with "Seigneur, je vous en prie" by the composer Francis Poulenc, followed by "Avé Maria" by Franz Biebl, "Ubi Caritas" by Ola Gjeilo and "Pie Jesu" by Andrew Lloyd Weber.

The concert will culminate with the interpretation of «Requiem, Op. 48», by Gabriel Fauré, in full version for choir, soloists and piano, at which time the CMP Contemporary Dance group will accompany the performance of Adágio (choreographed by Nilsen Jorge).

«Creative spirits of the XNUMXst century appropriate Alcalar's prehistoric monuments, experiencing them from other angles. A symbiosis of sounds, movement and light, which is lost in time and comes to us in the night of a full moon». This is how promoters describe the show.

«From Pre-History to Lua Cheia» is an initiative integrated in the 365 Algarve programme, which has the support of the Museum of Portimão.
